Mischa Barton was born on 24 January 1986 in Hammersmith, England. The TV show The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. In addition, she was as a character in The Sixth Sense a suspense film. When she returned to Romania the reception she received was one of heroism. A year later, at the 1988 Olympics Comaneci was awarded two more gold medals and two silver to bring the Olympic total to 9 medals. Comaneci was awarded her medals in 1996 when she was elected to the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. In 1999, ABC News and Ladies Home Journal listed Comaneci one of the Top 100 Women in the 20th Century. In April of 1996, Comaneci got married to American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they have one son, Dylan Paul. They have a variety of companies that are related to gymnastics which include Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci has also been involved in various charities being a part of the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation Board of Directors. In the years since, she is still a major supporter of numerous other charities in her home country of Romania. This includes those of the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
