Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. She was born in South London. Her mother is English and her father Nigerian. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received an acting BA. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut was the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. The four brothers she had were also present including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the summer and winter. They grew up playing the arenas and baseball. Ashley was never able to walk. She would dance. So when she was two and a half and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance after this. Ashley continued to dance competitively throughout high school with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and more. She was the top soloist in major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
