Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actor, singer-songwriter and musician. Her main focus is Tamil as well as Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is an attorney in the Madras High Court. She has a younger sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano around the age of eight. She was a big fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became in a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. She was a stage artist at her university and participated in a variety of plays staged by The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. Andrea was the President of Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea's career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She appeared in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a show that was airing on Podhigai. She has appeared in all parts of India. She appeared briefly in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to join the female lead characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea was Kalyani the housewife who's husband is involved in an affair. Andrea was allegedly threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was chosen to play the role after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were approached by producers. which released in early 2010. It was announced in the beginning of 2011. be a minor part in Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha that was released in August of 2011. Her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
